This race has a number of complicating factors that are not present in other races. For instance, entrants have a choice of race distances, and whether to enter on a team or as an individual; team entries have a choice of names, charities, and who their members are.
In a perfect world, every mail in entry in would include all the correct information along with the correct entry fees; but alas, we don't live in a perfect world! As this race has grown in size over the years (this year is the 31st!), keeping everything straight was becoming increasingly unwieldy. Last year there were actually a few team entries that weren't straightened out until minutes before the race!
We hope that entrants make the adjustment to the new entry process and find it to be hassle free.
I love the online registration. However I don't see listed the charity my team has been running for the past several years. Is there a way to add not-for-profits that are currently not on the list?
ReplyDeleteWe love the race (except it all seems to be uphill)!

ReplyDeleteThe charities on the menu are the ones approved by the sponsor, Pinnacle Bank. They are the only charities available to make a contribution to.
ReplyDeleteUnderstandable. There are still many great charities to choose from that I'm sure will benefit by the efforts of a bunch of old, out-of-shape running enthusiasts like myself. Looking forward to June (I just hope it's not as hot and windy as last year)!
ReplyDeleteWhat about the Kids Grand Prix entries? Are we not allowed to use the Grand Prix coupons to enter?
ReplyDeleteGrand Prix entries should be made in the conventional manner. Bring your Grand Prix coupon to packet pickup and you will be given a cash refund.
